To advance to vocational schools offering automotive technician certification programs and specialized logistics programs, I aim to achieve Japanese language proficiency at the B2 level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Framework and the JLPT N2 level.

Our school's curriculum consists of four subjects. Students learn five language activities: reading, listening, speaking (interaction), speaking (presentation), and writing. This enhances their overall Japanese proficiency while also covering language knowledge such as kanji and grammar, preparing them for advancement to vocational schools. Furthermore, leveraging our school's unique background as a transportation company, we offer the specialized subject “Career Seeds.” This course fosters an understanding of professions and career development, building foundational skills for studying and working in Japan.

Japanese language

Total Learning Hours: 1,160 hours

Learning Levels: Beginner (A1), Pre-Intermediate (A2), Intermediate (B1), Upper-Intermediate (B2)

Textbooks Used: ‘Tsunagu Nihongo Beginner 1 & 2’, ‘Task-Based Japanese Intermediate 1, 2 & 3’

Language Activities Covered: Listening, Reading, Speaking (Interaction), Speaking (Presentation), Writing

Achievement Goals (Can-do):

・Understand the main points of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in one's field of expertise.

・Communicate fluently and naturally with proficient Japanese speakers without mutual tension.

・Produce clear, detailed texts on a wide range of topics, explaining one's viewpoint while indicating the advantages and disadvantages of various options. 

Kanji

Total Study Hours: 220 hours

Study Levels: Beginner (A1), Elementary (A2), Intermediate (B1), Upper Intermediate (B2)

Textbooks Used: ‘Kanji Textbook for International Students: Beginner 300’, ‘Kanji Textbook for International Students: Intermediate 700’

Language Activities Covered: Reading, Writing

Achievement Goals (Can-do):

・Understand 1,000 kanji characters equivalent to the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N2 level, including 122 basic kanji.

Preparation for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test

Total Study Hours: 180 hours

Study Levels: Intermediate (B1), Upper Intermediate (B2)

Textbooks Used: TRY! Japanese Language Proficiency Test N2 Grammar, TRY! Japanese Language Proficiency Test N3 Grammar

・Understand grammar equivalent to the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N2 level.

Career Seeds

Total Learning Hours: 40 hours

Learning Level: Intermediate-Advanced (B2)

Language Activities Covered: Listening, Reading, Speaking (Interaction), Speaking (Presentation), Writing

Learning Outcomes (Can-do):

・Through field visits and conversations with workers, deepen understanding of job duties and working conditions in automotive maintenance and logistics occupations, gaining insight into actual workplace environments and work styles.

・Begin considering career choices from the perspective of how one wishes to work and live in the future, becoming capable of independently researching and gathering basic information about career paths and employment.
