Iruma city is...

Located in southwestern Saitama Prefecture, Iruma City resembles a magic mallet and boasts abundant nature alongside thriving agriculture and industry. Iruma City is the main production area for Sayama Tea, one of Japan's Three Great Famous Teas, and the Kaneko district is covered in vast tea fields. Keiwa Terrace Japanese Language School is located in a spot offering a panoramic view of these tea fields. With limited express trains running from Iruma-shi Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line, access to central Tokyo is excellent! Why not head out to Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, or Shibuya on the weekends?

Green tea fields in Sayama city

Iruma City is the primary production area for Sayama Tea, one of Japan's three most famous teas. Vast tea fields spread across the Kaneko district, where tea cultivation focuses on exceptional flavor.
You're sure to be moved by this tranquil scenery.

Mitsui outlet park Iruma

Mitsui Outlet Park is a large shopping mall featuring everything from international brands to local brands, including new brands making their debut in Japan. It bustles with crowds on weekends.

ジョンソンタウン

The streets where U.S. military personnel and their families once lived remain largely unchanged. Today, it's a popular walking spot where many artists reside, featuring unique cafes, gift shops, and clothing boutiques. Since people still live here, please be considerate of residents when taking photos and enjoy your stroll.

入間万燈まつり

This is a large festival featuring over 300 shops every year.
You can enjoy the impressive procession of floats and portable shrines from various groups throughout the city.
At Keiwa Terrace Japanese Language School, we participate in this festival as a school event. Why not help out at a stall, calling out “Welcome!” and other greetings?

Iruma Sanma festival

The Iruma Sanma Festival held in autumn is an event featuring charcoal-grilled Pacific saury delivered directly from Kesennuma City, aiming to support Kesennuma's recovery and invigorate Iruma City.
Keiwa Terrace Japanese Language School will also participate in this event as a school activity. Let's savor the seasonal Pacific saury together with the local community!
